SERT was established in 1998 by a group of experts in the field of Education, Technology, Management and Communication. The institute was set up with the aim of providing various select programs of innovative institutions under one roof. SERT has academic tie-ups with prestigious organizations like Mahatma Gandhi University (M.G), Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), CMJ University, TCIL-IT (A Govt. of  India Enterprise), and C-DIT (Govt. of Kerala). Since 1998, SERT has remained the leading institution in Central Travancore for Software & Hardware training offering fully integrated hands-on training in the most modern computers.
